Keyboard buttons will not work in full screen mode from the browser. To bypass this, open Flasher.swf locally.

I downloaded Flasher v1.2 per the link up top and upon opening, have all the elements in the library, but nothing on the stage and no code anywhere.

  11. jared on May 15th, 2008 4:40 pm

thats right, setup your slides in Slideshow.fla, hit ctrl + enter to generate Slideshow.swf, then run Flasher.swf

  12. Roberto on May 16th, 2008 8:40 am

So there’ nothing on the stage at all. When you say, “setup your slides in Slideshow.fla”, am i just dropping the mc’s in preferred order on the stage, then dragging the arrow buttons from the library to the stage and giving them instance names as well? Just kinda confused as to how everything works. Need some clarification.

  13. jared on May 16th, 2008 4:46 pm

Nothing should be on the stage except maybe a background graphic or movieclip. Instructions are all in Readme.pdf. Flasher.swf is the engine that drives slideshow.swf

Flash Player 10 enables arrow keys use when in full screen =D so now we can use them

I like the Flasher better than Powerpoint, but it does not work when you compile it as an executable. Has anyone else been able to get an executable prolector to run Flasher?

  19. jared on June 5th, 2009 7:50 pm

it should work as a projector, i’ve used it for a couple of presentations.. change your publish settings? anyway hang in there full source code and update coming soon.

  20. Mike on June 5th, 2009 8:01 pm

Thanks for the quick response, I believe it’s not working as a projector because it depends on the external Flasher.swf file. I’ll wait for the update.

    Thanks
    Mike

oh you can also open up the swf with Flash Player (Not Flash IDE), click on File > Create Projector

  22. Mike on June 5th, 2009 8:22 pm

It seems that anyway you do it, you have two files. The slideshow and the flasher.exe or swf. I was hoping to make a single file. But, I must say very nice piece of work.

    Thanks
    Mike
